At Forn de Sant Joan this 2018 we are launching a tasting menu for you to savour at our restaurant in Palma. It is a selection of five dishes from our main menu, served in special portions and accompanied with carefully selected national wines.
Starters to awaken the senses
We begin the menu with one of our finest starters: Foie gras cappuccino with wild mushroom and lavender tartar. A starting dish which we acompany with a glass of “Terrible” white wine, Verdejo 100% D.O. Rueda.
The tasting continues with a sample of our pasta. We will be offering delicious Rigatoni, accompanied with a Barolo wine sauce with truffle, wild boletus and caramelized onion. Austum, a fresh and aromatic Sauvignon Blanc from D.O. Rueda will be the perfect acompaniment for the pasta.
Flavours from the land and the sea
The tasting menu from our restaurant in Palma is also based towards the sea. In this third dish we can savour grilled seabass. With celeriac puree, pea cream and Iberian pork. We will serve this dish with a wine which emphasizes the flavour of the seafood: Fillaboa, a Albariño D.O. Rias Baixas.
We return to land to create our following dish: lamb, cooked at a low temperature, it’s the star of the show. Served with its own jus and smoked mashed potatoes. Leston Reserva, a Tempranillo wine from D.O. Rioja which will act as a counterpoint.
The sweet end
We will end the tasting with a very personal dessert: the “Forn” Crema Catalana. This dessert consists of a crema catalana foam served with apple ice cream and cinnamon and it is accompanied by a sweet wine.

At our restaurant in Palma de Mallorca Forn de Sant Joan you can enjoy this tasting menu with its five dishes and its five glasses of wine for a total of 55 euros. If you don’t drink alcohol, you can still enjoy our menu for a price of 40 euros. The menu includes water and coffee.
